It’s times like these you learn to live again

It’s times like these you give and give again

It’s times like these you learn to love again

It’s times like these time and time again

Recently there was an amazing remix of one of my favorite Foo Fighter’s songs – Times Like These. It inspired me in so many ways, so I decided to share. Various music talents, from different genres, pulled together to inspire hope in our TIMES LIKE THESE.

It’s times like these you learn to live again:   Haven’t we all noticed this during coronavirus? We were forced to slow down and focus on the basics. Keeping our families safe, providing financially in the face of furloughs and lay offs, but never forgetting who/what was most important. Deadlines and long work days were pushed aside to focus on safety and health.

It’s times like these you give and give again:  People gave money, gave their precious time, hospital staff sacrificed seeing their children in order to help others, and many delivered groceries to the elderly or immune compromised. The local Blessing Boxes have been filled regularly. People are good. We can’t let that get shadowed by political tensions and headlines.

It’s times like these time and time again:  History has taught us that we will be in this situation again. Not necessarily a pandemic, but a global threat that forces us to change the way we live. The goal is to learn the facts and prevent our mistakes.

Additional lyrics were added with the remix directly addressing current stress:

We make it better together, we’ll make a better life. Because the pressure is ever upon us every night. And everyday so we pray and we will forever fight. We’ll make it better together, we’ll make a better life

We all feel the pressure, but we pray, we fight, and we stick together to come out better on the other side. The remix takes a collaboration of international artists and all sales of the song benefit Covid-19 relief efforts. It provides hope in a difficult time. Wishing you all safety, health, and happiness.
